Natural Handmade Soap by Susan and Sarah (Mother and Daughter!)
We founded Be Natural as a small family owned and family operated enterprise dedicated to crafting high quality natural handmade soap. In our purpose designed facility we make organic, palm oil free, healthy and effective natural soap products. Our natural handmade soaps will nourish your skin and be kind to our planet. Soap production is coordinated and undertaken by Susan, who has drawn from years of creative cookery to develop wonderful natural handmade soap products. Sarah is responsible for the packaging, sales and marketing. Both of us love getting into the ‘soap shed’ since we love playing around with beautiful essential oils and butters. We believe a product is only as good as the ingredients used to make it. Our ingredients are certified organic, sourced within New Zealand, sustainably produced, cruelty-free and ethically traded. We will always use the best ingredients to make the best safe and effective skin care products available.
All of our recipes are carefully crafted in Inglewood, New Zealand.
- We oversee the entire process for every product to ensure maximum freshness, consistency and perfection.
- Be Natural refuses to use Palm Oil. This is because of its detrimental environment effects. According to research, there is no safe supply of Palm Oil available.
- We do it all ourselves–from start to finish–therefore ensuring an authentic product from our family to yours.
Our Promise to you:
I live with my husband David in Inglewood, New Zealand. I am passionate about creating and developing safe, effective natural handmade soap products that deliver high quality performance. The skin friendly butters and oils that I get to work with are fantastic, and I find my time in the soap shed rewarding and rejuvenating. I love to play with my three grandsons, who live just up the road. I am also passionate about creating meals in the kitchen. Wandering around amazing gardens in our beautiful province, spending time with my dog Paddy and volunteering with Soroptimists International are some of my other interests.
My number one role as Mum to three boys keep me on my toes every day. I love the endless energy that boys have, but also find that I love the hours I get to spend in the soap shed or travelling around talking with customers and retailers. Outside of soap making and boy wrangling, I am an avid supporter of women and girls in Nepal, through a personal charity – Education for Sanju. I also love to keep fit, play in the sun, wind down in my vege garden and go boating with my husband Ian.
