This natural vegetable brush is another fantastic way to ditch a bit more plastic from your life! This gorgeous little brush is made from beechwood, sisal and piassava fibre. Sisal is a very robust fibre from an African cactus species. The strong and durable fibres, do not absorb water easily. Piassava is from West Africa and South America and is a coarse and elastic palm fibre. Both of these fibres are compostable at the end of their useful lives.
Use for cleaning the mud and dirt off potatoes, carrots and other root vegetables. You can skip peeling the vegetables, and reap the benefits of cooking veges with their nutritious skins on. Less peeling = less waste too! This natural vegetable brush just needs a rinse after use, and then be left to dry in an airy place. It should last you for years if looked after. Use in conjunction with our other natural kitchen ware – such as this natural dishcloth.
